Researching the Destruction Force of Hurricane Dorian

Each year hurricanes grow somewhere in the mid Atlantic and travel across to the Bahamas and mainland USA. With Hurricane Dorian having already wreaked havoc on coastal towns and villages (as of Sept. 4 2019), shows that this year is proving to be no different. But what is the actual strength and destructive comparison between this most recent of hurricanes and previous manifestations of storm cells in the region?

Hurricane Force brings together research from NOAH (the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Organisation), kaggle and Forbes to compare and contrast the destructive force of this hurricane, using graphs and tables. Does Hurricane Dorian represent an increase in the power of hurricanes overall, or has the strength of this hurricane become the norm? If so, what are the possible causes in the upswing of the strength of such hurricanes?

There are of course many theories in this regard. Some researchers believe that humans are to blame and that increase the increase of gases like CO2 are negatively impacting the climate leading to more frequent or more destructive storms. Detractors of the Climate Change theory will instead point to what they see as cyclical patterns and possible misrepresentation of data by climatologists. But there is also a third, even more outlandish theory which is that the some secret arm of the government is using weather manipulation to create, steer or stall storms, when and where they want them. During the course of making this website, I had the luxury of examining each of these proposals from an objective point of view to try and determine, which - if any - was the truth. I think that the reader will find the results of this investigation both interesting and surprising.
